December  8, 2008	2009 Fire/EMS Cadet Program applications available
February 2 - 27, 2009	Completed applications accepted at Department of Employment Services Office of Youth Programs
February 2009– August 2009	Applicants reviewed by DOES and DC Fire/EMS Department
September 2009	DC Fire/EMS Department notifies selected candidates. Approx. 35 will be selected for the 2009 Fire/EMS Cadet Program.
October  2009	2009 Fire/EMS Cadet Program begins at Fire/EMS Department Training  Academy
